I Love Mansfield group on facebook, really?

Appearance is only skin deep when you make presumptions and excuses on why only certain individuals are allowed in the group. If you are “known” to be negative about Mansfield you are profiled and not allowed to join. I guess they know me too well (smile).

Let’s take a look at what they say, then look at what they do, shall we?

This groups says they are open, but once again it “depends” on who you are?

Their about page…

Since when is Pleasant Hill part of Mansfield?

BREAKING NEWS: Massive tree down now on 13 going into Bellville.

I love Mansfield, but today lets talk about Bellville (too funny) Another Violator that can’t be tolerated, unless of coarse it depends on who you are?

Looking for Stories and Media for Shawshank Documentary

ryan1071.wordpress.com

We are in the process of a “casting call”! We are looking for those who experienced the filming of The Shawshank Redemption back in 1993. Were you in line at the casting call that had to be turned …

Ok, this is not about Mansfield, but could be considered one of the BEST things to happen to Mansfield since the latest news where a sex offender broke out of MANCI and a “civilian captured him near Ashland???????

Not Mansfield but in nearby Shelby – A wedding ceremony had just been completed on this bridge downtown on July 4, 1898 when the wooden structure collapsed, killing four persons and injuring at least 100 others. Another account of the tragedy placed the tool at seven dead and more than 300 injured. An estimated 1,500 persons were jammed on the bridge over the Black Fork when it fell 12 feet into the stream below, dumping hundreds of the spectators into the creek. In the panic that followed, many were trampled under foot. The bride and groom were not injured.

I think Donn thinks this is “I LOVE SHELBY?”

I’ll give Donn kudos on this one…these look like Mansfielders who love it here? – THEY LOOK PISSED! Now these are the Mansfielders I remember and love so much (smile).

Bellville flooding.  It doesn’t look like this now.  Was down there this am.

Really, Bellville again…of all places in a group that said they don’t tolerate this??????

One of the two sinkholes right by the bridge in Bellville. It’s huge.

ANOTHER AD, I can’t believe this is tolerated!

Who else misses the wonderful 4th of July events which used to take place at Lahm? Food, fun, touring planes, air show overhead and topped off with great fireworks!

Share · July 5 at 10:06am near Mansfield

  • 41 people like this.
  • Butch Warner They was alot of fun… Had displays and air shows… Then a good Fireworks show
  • Joan Young they wer great but didn’t miss the parking mess
  • Rosie Eberts There is supposed to be car show and events for families there Saturday.
  • Linda Casler Carver I think the guard is having a few planes there tomorrow too. But no fireworks.
  • Tuesday Morris Caserta I miss going to Arlin Field, and the Mid-way!  I remember one year, the drive-in ran all Elvis movies, and ended with the fireworks show.
  • Sharon Carlisle Richwine Do they still have fireworks at Walton Lake?
  • Kent Dorr The 4th of July events at Lahm Airport in the 90s and early 2000s were called the “Freedom Festivals”  My late father and other citizens like the Rev Wray Smith were the ones who honchoed those great events.  I think they did it for about 10 years and when they stepped down, no one stepped up to keep them going.  Too bad.
  • Larry Gene Foster Never nothing to beat Arlin Field fire works, the stadium amplified the sound and light.
  • Sandra Chance-Conroy I worked the concession stands 1978 to 1982 and I don’t know if anyone actually saw the fireworks .   I think they were all in line to get popcorn.   lol
  • Kristy Owens I know I miss it, my home is across the way from the airport so we had front row seats every year, really wish they would start that back again
  • Frank D Medley waste a  few million dollars on rocks on middle bellville turn around or  we could have street lights back on and feel safe  and fire works with a million left over for police
  • John H. Campbell Frank Medley–get your facts straight.  I’m no fan of the ’roundabout’ either.  The cost of the entire Middle Bellville Road update was 4.3 million dollars, not just the ’roundabout’.
  • Hipcheck Heidi Vote for the PRIDE tax Frank D Medley, on the ballot this fall.
  • Larry Gene Foster I used the “round de bout” first time recently.  Had other cars all arrive at the same time.  I was in middle when car to my right came up, so I stopped as I had saw a sign in middle that said “Yield” ( I think, too busy to look closely).  Other drivers all stopped.  Then I moved, other driver moved, so we stopped again.  Gee, who knows how these things work anyway? And I do not think fire trucks can get thru this? Simple 4 way stop with flashers better and a lot cheaper.
  • Kay Wagner It seems like more info on how to use them would help. Our son is with the SCDOT and they are putting them in S.C. He said they work quite well once people get usesd to them.
  • Theresa Hilbert Roundabouts are heavily in use in the east and we came across many in AZ. Here is a users guide: http://www.azdot.gov/ccpartnerships/roundabouts/users_guide.asp

    www.azdot.gov

The Arizona Transportation (ADOT) Internet Web site
  • Kay Wagner Thanks Theresa, great idea.  I have to ask my son if we have  something like this in South Carolina.
  • Timothy Ling That Roundabout was not needed, just a 4 way stop would have been fine. Makes about as much sense as getting rid of the Central Park cut through.
  • Frank D Medley Johm what did just the round about cost no body will tell id love to know the fact price on just the round about and I sure of would of paid for fire works and safety of our street lights go down on square after dark or have to walk in dark in my area  I live by hospital. Give me a fact price o. That round about please
  • Marilyn Dent Bottorf I liked fireworks at Arlin Field, and the parade down PAW. They say the Miss Ohio parade  takes the place of the 4th of July parade…….Mansfield hasn’t had fireworks for several years…..No money(so they say).
  • John H. Campbell Frank D Medley–I have NO knowledge of what the round a bout itself cost.  According to the sign posted at Middle Bellville and Straub Rd, I believe it showed 4.3 million for the project.  The round a bout is way too small for the amount of traffic on …See More
  • Sandra Chance-Conroy I heard to get State money for roads a round a bout had to be one of the things added.   I go through it almost dailey and still think it is ugly and a waste of money.  Top light would have been better.   Do like the wider road at Logan though.
WOW! – A whole host of negativety here! – NO FIREWORKS ANYMORE, AND WASTEFUL SPENDING – CAN’T BELIEV THIS IS TOLERATED?

LOOK WHATS NEW AT ACES MANSFIELD LOCATION STARTING TODAY!

I do love Aces Grill, but an ad is an ad . I guess it depends on what you’re advertising? Mansfielders do love to be fed! (smile)
I hope you enjoyed my point! – My point being the group may be open, but it depends on “who you are” if you can join and share in what is and what is not Mansfield here.
What I have found here?, someone started another group choked full of Narcissists and phony’s who make pre-made presumptions. Maybe they were right if you don’t like what I pointed out about their “about this group”
What a joke!
