Appears more than the MP has a problem with censorship when it comes to local media?

February 28th 2016 comments being left on MP Group page, interesting!

Rumor has it that they are looking to have the MP group page shut down for the following comments? All I have to say is ROTFLMAO, tell it to Drew Tyler, you know the fella who can do the same without recourse, not so funny now is it? – The ONLY DIFFERENCE is I can care less knowing that Drew is full of it!

This must be the TRUTH?

It befuddles me that the Mansfield NJ has removed comments from the Sunday story regarding the Republican Sheriff Primary Race. When questioned by Weikle Mansfield regarding removal of comments – Mr.Ted Daniels states in response “Your series of “unsubstantiated accusations” against Mr.Sheldon were “inappropriate personal attacks”, particularly when they are made under an anonymous pseudonym”.
You Mr.Daniels as the Editor of the Mansfield News Journal are protecting a man from “inappropriate personal” attacks and this is the very man and his regimen that have hurt their own. I would ask how much more substantiated do you want when there is video of the Incumbent firing someone with Cancer; case numbers have been sited; properties listed. It’s documented that the Incumbent has not paid certain taxes. A “regular” person would be blasted by the News Journal for these issues. Mr.Daniels you are sitting on information that the public should be aware of. You have printed nothing in regards to what you are holding onto. You have not responded to visitor posts on the Mansfield News Journal Online; you have not responded to your female reporters being referred to as “bitches”. You have not reported on EEOCs that you are holding information on. What else are you holding onto that the public has the right to know when they go to the polls during the primary.

The Mansfiield News Journal still Rotten to the Core after all these years.

Mansfield News Journal, last night I commented on the online article Botdorf challenging Sheldon’s record as sheriff. This morning I found not only have my posts been removed but I have now been banned from commenting on the MNJ web page. Can you please explain why my posts were removed and why I was banned? For your convenience my posts have been copied below.

Reference Joe Masi purchases: From 2011-2014 (Masi was hired into the Sheldon regime in 2011), Joe Masi purchased land and a home totally $521,000.00 according to the auditor’s website and his building permit. Half a million dollars in a 3 year period?? Sheldon and his admin are using the department FOJ funds as their personal ATM’s. Erika Spicer is padding the books for them also. She transferred from the auditor’s office so she has contacts there and won’t be questioned. However, Sheldon also owes $3,701.00 in back taxes on his rental properties.

Regarding Sheldon’s rental properties and phony straw mortgages with businessman, Willis Prout. Most of these are through Sheriff sales:

Willis Prout of Larchwood Road, Mansfield, acquired eight properties for a total of $264,000, including commercial buildings. associated with the bankruptcy involving David R. Sharrock, transactions with a receiver for The Bissman Co. and sheriff’s sales.
He picked up four parcels at 175-193 N. Main St. formerly belonging to The Bissman Co. for $25,000 and bought 214 Lexington Ave. from a receiver for The Bissman Co., but also purchased residential properties.
During 2014, he added to his existing holdings of rental homes on Dunbilt Court, a small dead-end road just off Lexington Avenue, on the near south side.
“The big joke is, ‘Willis, when are you going to have it petitioned to rename it Prout Court?’
Prout currently holds nearly 80 properties around the county.

Sheriff, were you notified in early 2014 that Capt. James P. Sweat was under an active criminal investigation by a state law enforcement agency regarding his position as the Monroe Township Fire Chief? After being notified, did you promote him shortly after without any internal investigation being done? And wasn’t he questioned again, in 2015 during a federal inquiry into some of his activities?

Can you explain the recent EEOC complaint? It wasn’t just one female, but three female deputies filed. And, you terminated one, Paige Wagner, shortly after the complaint was filed but claimed it had nothing to do with the complaint. Do you agree that statement doesn’t sound on the up and up, and do you feel you and your administration treat all of your employees equally? Furthermore, after the EEOC complaint, veteran deputy and experienced investigator, Stacy Dittrich, was rejected for an open position in the METRICH Task Force. The position was given to an inexperienced 18-month new deputy with no experience. Are you going to say that has nothing to do with the EEOC complaint either? How many times are you going to deny that?

Re-post for any new visitors to the page.
Regarding ABON, it has been suggested that your office conducted its own investigation and was promptly shut down after it was discovered that there was malfeasance on your part. It was further alleged that you used the excuse of Capt. Bosko’s involvement to do that. There are people saying that is simply not true. Can you explain?
Can you provide legitimate documentation that Major Joe Masi is a, certified, State of Ohio Peace Officer? Including proof of all of his state mandated update courses for the years 1989-2012?
Friends and family of numerous members of the Richland County
Sheriff’s Office have stated that the employees refer to Major Joe
Masi, Capt. James P. Sweat, and Capt. Donald Zehner as Tyrants,
Dictators, and Micro-Managers to the highest levels. How do you expect to move forward as a functioning Sheriff’s Office when your employees are suffering from such low morale?
Regarding Major Joe Masi, the Northern District Federal Court in
February, 2015 ruled that Masi’s actions in interviewing and
testifying in the Glenn Tinney case (in which an innocent man was
imprisoned for 25-years) Masi’s actions “…shocked the conscience…” That Masi’s actions were “outrageous, extreme, and uncivilized.” Former Capt. Eric Bosko was placed on the Giglio list for much less. How can you justify having someone that a Federal Court ruled untrustworthy and borderline criminal running your day to day operations? How can you justify having someone like Masi instructing new officers in investigations?

It has been widely observed by citizens and other members of law
enforcement agencies that members of your administration are driving brand-new, fully loaded and equipped SUV’s. It is clearly obvious that the deputies vehicles are antiquated, broken down, in comparison to other agencies. Its also been alleged that vehicle repair requests such as brake replacements has been denied by your administration. Your administration has told deputies that the commissioners won’t allow those vehicles for road patrol. Are you not the Sheriff? Since when do the commissioners tell you what you can use your own vehicles for? And lastly, how can you explain all of this to the taxpayers of this county?
Regarding your administration’s salaries, can you explain how those administrators can put in for 8-hours of vacation, but yet accrue 8-hours in overtime on the same day. Can you also explain the numerous hours of salaried employee, Major Masi, putting in for overtime on weekends while he is “reviewing cases at his home.” Is there no oversight?
In December, 2015, Major Joe Masi and Lt. Jimmy Myers of the RCSO Jail–a non-sworn position, attended a bomb training school in Las Vegas for an entire week at the taxpayers expense. When there is a shortage of deputies, a lack of reliable vehicles, and low morale, how do you justify approving this? What does a non-sworn Jail Lt. need a bomb training school for? Do you agree that looks a little nefarious to the county taxpayers? A fully paid trip to Las Vegas??
Sheriff, do you feel that Joe Masi’s marriage to a member of the
Richland County Prosecutor’s Office has risen to the level, by their
actions, as unethical? To be clear, is it fair to the deputies to say
“A complaint has been filed against you,” when in fact it was his wife complaining to him at home about certain deputies?

After being notified, did you promote him shortly after without any internal investigation being done? And wasn’t he questioned again, in 2015 during a federal inquiry into some of his activities?
Sheriff, it is widely known throughout the law enforcement community that Major Joe Masi, Captain James P. Sweat, and Captain Donald Zehner are untrustworthy. Other law enforcement agencies simply want as little dealings with them as possible. How can you possibly move forward as Sheriff of Richland County and regain the trust of its other law enforcement agencies and work together in the future?
Sheriff, how many current union grievances do you have filed against you right now? As the Sheriff, aren’t you supposed to know?
Sheriff, how many active lawsuits are pending against the Richland
County Sheriffs Department right now? As the Sheriff, aren’t you
supposed to know?
Sheriff, regarding your payroll clerk, Erika Spicer, that you pay
$55,000.00 per year, that deputies claim is administering discipline
and ordering command staff around, as tabloidish as this may be, it is well known among law enforcement that your deputies and other members of law enforcement have evidence of her driving and coming into work highly intoxicated, and performing sexual acts on members of your command staff in her office that sits directly next to yours. If you are provided with this evidence, what actions would you take against Erika Spicer and those command staff members? Is this what you would consider a professional working environment?
Sheriff, can you explain Detective Chuck Metcalf’s continued
employment with RCSO after pleading guilty to federal crimes?
Sheriff, when Capt. Eric Bosko was repeatedly called into question
regarding numerous investigations, you claimed to have no knowledge of what he was doing. In one instance, you claimed to be home taking a nap on a weekday at noon. This particular instance resulted in a six-figure pay out by the county to settle the lawsuit. As the sitting Sheriff, why didn’t you fire him? He claims you ordered every investigation he was a part of. It stands to reason that might be true? I mean, if you have a rogue Captain out doing unauthorized investigations, why wouldn’t you fire him? Unless you ordered those investigations?
Sheriff, you recently posted a “music video” on your website showing deputies and a member of the Mansfield News Journal dressed in deputy attire. Did you order these deputies from training ,and one, who was investigating a burglary, to partake in this video for your campaign?
Sheriff, your payroll clerk, Erika Spicer, is repeatedly posting
promotional posts for you campaign during work hours on Facebook. She is actively campaigning for you during work hours payed for by tax payers. Some may say this is considered theft in office. Her salary per the Richland County Auditors Office is more than your deputies are making. Deputies are complaining that their time off and pay are not correct. Is this ethical? Shouldn’t her job be first priority?
Sheriff, were you given credible information by the Mansfield Police
Department that a private fencer had taken over once ABON was raided? Did you disregard the information that this man was buying numerous stolen items and selling illegal drugs because his relative was an outspoken victim of a sheriff employee and you didn’t want the bad press?
Recently, Major Joe Masi sent a citizen complaint of 2 officers to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review of criminal charges. They were declined as there was no basis to the complaint and the complainant is no longer cooperating. Major Masi then ordered a junior sergeant to serve the officers paperwork and secretly record them in hopes of garnering evidence that would be suitable for criminal charges. No Miranda was read and no warrant was signed by a federal judge authorizing him to make that order. The sergeant did not comply with this order, knowing it was unethical–bordering criminal, and received a 1 day suspension. You were aware of this order and signed off on it. Can you explain?
Sheriff, your current Major has been discredited by a federal court,
your patrol captain has previous convinctions of OVI and
falsification, your support captain has already been the subject of 2
state and federal inquiries, and your former captain was discredited
and placed on the federal Giglio list. Are these good choices for the
citizens of Richland County? Don’t the citizens deserve better?

Masi and Sheldon routinely referred to Kaitlyn Durbin and Lou Whitmire as “fucking bitches.” Durbin was seen several times parking in the handicap space at the Sheriff’s office. Sheldon and Masi put out an order that deputies are to enforce the parking of the sheriff’s office. Sheldon pulled several deputies aside and told them if they see Durbin’s car to take a picture of it and, “write that bitch a ticket!” The parking order is still hanging in the roll call room.

Steve Sheldon for Sheriff received the following in a private message:
“Captain Chris Blunk the Jail Administrator was arrested by [the] Galion Police Dept in [the] early 2000’s for Felony Child Endangerment. It was later dropped to a First Degree Misdemeanor. Chris was driving down the road when he pulled over and left, at that time, his 3 year old daughter in some unknown persons yard. He tore off all his clothing and ran through a cornfield completely naked because Jesus himself was out there calling to him. He was on probation for 5 years because Sheriff Stierhoff made a deal with the Prosecutor in Crawford County that Chris would relinquish his Peace Officer Certificate. Chris returned to work and was later promoted by Sheldon to Jail Administrator. His case file has been expunged. As far as I was aware any crime against a child could never be expunge[d] but his case is no longer in Crawford’s records. BCI still has it”

The page received the following question in a private communication to be posted:
Question:
It’s been indicated that the current Sheriff has a gambling problem, supposedly deep in debt. He’s not really looking so great recently in the eye of the public. It’s been documented in social media what’s going on. Metrich makes a big “sweep” on gambling sites. It’s close to the primary. What better way to look good in the eyes of the public then to possibly aide in turn over of gambling sites. Another incident like the Trimble Rd arrests ???? Just an outsider looking at it from the outside. Just a thought.

Cheech L Lang I don’t have his license plate but he drives a black truck. Most likely not his own. There’s only 2 cops I trust from Mansfield PD. If this is going to put my life in danger for turning him in then I’d rather not describe the truck I’ve seen him in

J. Steve Sheldon you indicate you worked at ABON because you “have a huge interest in coins and antiques”?
Mr.Sheldon, is it true that you purchased coins and gold from many former inmates who said they “found” the items?
Were these same items then taken to a Mansfield Jewelry store where they were melted down for gold?
If you have such a “huge interest’ in coins, why would you buy them just to turn around and have them melted down for their precious metal content?
I would assume that this was a great way of getting rid of evidence?
